There is a new warning about a WhatsApp scam that is circulating which poses as family or friends in your contact list. There are 2 messages, the first is an unexpected message with a code from WhatsApp. It is followed by another message posing as one of your contacts, stating they’ve sent you a 6-digit code by SMS in error and if you can urgently transfer it to them. This is an attempt by scammers to hack your account – do not click on any links or follow any of the instructions.
