Fraudsters have been targeting the public with fake text messages offering the COVID-19 vaccine. The bogus text message advises the recipient they are eligible and directs them to a fake NHS website that has a registration form asking for personal banking details. There has also been reports of similar emails and cold callers asking for payment over the phone for the vaccine. The two approved COVID-19 vaccines are free and the NHS will never ask for payment to administer the vaccine.
