Vishing, similar to phishing, it is the attempt by a fraudster to obtain your personal information via the phone. The scammer uses voice-over-internet (VoIP) technology to illegally access your personal banking details and can attempt to gain remote access to your computer. This could include talking to a real person at the end of the line or there being a recorded sales pitch directing you to press a number on your phone to talk to a person. Vishing can be highly sophisticated with scammers tampering with their phone numbers, so they appear local or similar to official numbers.
