The Telephone Preference Service (TPS) is a UK service that allows people to register their landline and mobile phone number to a ‘Do not call’ register. It is a free service which blocks unwanted cold calls from sales and marketing people. Organisations which contact people, who have registered with the TPS, can be fined heavily.
