Be aware of a phishing email scam where a hacker claims to have infected your device with a virus. This scam is a ploy to trick you into believing your personal details have been compromised and they threaten to share your information (including supposed ‘adult content’ found) with your contacts if you do not send them money within 48 hours. Please note this scam could be sent by text or email, do not click on any of these messages or send money to these cybercriminals. Please see an example below.
