Warnings from Suffolk police have been given about an email phishing scam posing as the HM Courts and Tribunals Service. The fake email asks for a £25 penalty notice to be paid for illegally driving on a certain road and asks the recipient to click on a link to make payment.
There have also been reports from the public about the email scam circulating in parts of Scotland and Yorkshire and those who don’t own cars or even drive are being targeted. Sent on official looking templates, with no specific details of where and when the supposed penalty occurred this scam is one to be aware of and immediately delete.
