Wiltshire Trading Standards has issued a warning about a competition scam on Facebook that tricks people into divulging their personal details. A bogus Facebook page called ‘Center Parcs Longleat Resort’ was created offering a chance to stay for free at the resort in Warminster and £500 spending money.
There have been many similar scams posing as Center Parcs in recent years and police are warning the public to be vigilant about these counterfeit pages. Over 17K people across Britain were conned into sharing the fake page within hours.
