With Black Friday fast approaching and promotions already out in the marketplace, there are warnings for consumers to be wary of fake deals and to be on their guard for scams. Consumer organisation Which? has advised consumers to do their research first to ensure a ‘special offer’ is really genuine and to find the best deal possible. There are also warnings that Black Friday brings extra risk of fraudsters preying on bargain hunters. Just some of the scams to be wary of include callers posing as Amazon about alleged suspicious activity on accounts and fake websites being set up to sell bogus goods.
